FOTOALBUM
Photographs by: Andrej Štolfa, Michael Maggen and Caroline Checkley-Scott
On the first day of meeting I received a task to be unofficial photographer of the meeting. Well, that could be an easy task, but my camera was not working properly and I was not familiar with our brand new job camera. That is why my photos are not of very professional quality but with a little help of my friends Michael and Caroline who kindly sent some of their photos you can expect to find even some decent ones.

1: LECTURES
Sorry - no photos because of technical problems with camera...

2: LECTURES AND THE LAST SUPPER
A few far-distance views on the lectures and lecturers at Hotel Slon (Slon=Elephant):
Discussions during the coffee break:
At the end of a day a banquet was organized in Nukcafe – coffee bar in the cellar of the National and University Library. Although you might think this picture looks almost exactly like "The last supper" by Leonardo da Vinci - the number of "apostles" is inaccurate.
Some participants were helping to serve the drinks – others were just enjoying good company and good Slovenian wine:
After the dinner was served, lots of hungry people turned into happy fed people:
And a special view from bartenders place:
After party
(for those who wanted to go on) was held at the bar Galerija and on the streets
of Ljubljana:

3: EXCURSION
Participants
had to be on the bus early in morning (hard for those who went out last
night). The excursion was organized for people who were interested in
seeing small part of our small country. First stop was at the Škocjanske
jame (Škocjan Caves) that are part of UNESCO heritage. The southwest part of
Slovenia is called Kras (English: Karst) and it is mainly made from limestone
which means that this is our most "deacidified" region. Pictures
were taken while waiting for the cave guide and on the way down to caves – but
not in the underground world - it is forbidden to take pictures of beautiful stalactites
and stalagmites there.
Final point of our excursion was at the old Slovenian coast town – Piran. The sun showed up and it was just enough time to find a nice restaurant with delicious sea food, to take a picture with famous baroque violin player Giuseppe Tartini and to recover for the way back home.
